Karachi: Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) honored England cricketers-cum-commentator Nasser Hussain and Mike Atherton and sports journalists from England who are here after a long period of 17 years for Pakistan Vs England Test series coverage.
According to details, SJAS organized an event to honor English sports reporters photographers commentators, and broadcasters at the National Bank Sports Arena National Stadium Karachi on Monday.
Former England skipper Nasser Hussain along with Mike Atherton and other English sports journalists were received shields, Sindhi topi, and ajrak from SJAS and they thanked SJAS for great hospitality in Karachi.
“We are really honored in Karachi, the people and fans in Karachi are for cricket,” said english sports reporter in a joint statement.
Secretary PSWF Asghar Azeem said on the occasion that SJAS earlier honored Sri Lankan, Aussies and South African sports journalists as well.
Secretary SJAS Shahid Saati thanked all the guest sports journalists for visiting Pakistan for coverage and help for highlighting soft image of Pakistan across world.
Senior sports journalists Qamer Ahmed, Mirza Iqbal Baig, Abdul Majid Bhatti, Rasheed Shakoor, Shahid Hashmi, Iqbal Jamil, Nasar Iqbal, Bazaid Khan, Rizwan Ali, SVP SJAS Mahmood Riaz SJAS EC and other members were also presented at the occasion.
