SJAS WOMEN’S DAY SEMINAR

Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) organized a seminar on the eve of International Women’s Day at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.  Vice-Chancellor of SSUET, Dr. Wali Parween, Registrar Comodor Sarfraz Ali, International boxer and coach Razia Bano, national badminton champion Palwasha Bashir. Martial Art expert Maham Zaidi, Sports organizer Essa Lab, Farah Zaidi, anchorperson Sawera Pasha, Sr sports reporter Nadra Mushtaq and reporter Ishrat Khan addressed the seminar at the occasion and share their experiences with the participants.
The speakers said that crying over their helplessness and compulsion will not do anything, despite working tirelessly with men in all walks of life, women have not been given the rights they deserve. They said “No field of politics, education, sports or medicine is complete without women. However, the fact that women are deprived of their basic rights is nothing short of a tragedy. To build a civilized society, we must begin the lesson of respecting women from our homes,”
Sr. Vice President of SJAS, Zubair Nazeer Khan thanked the speakers and all the participants for attending the most prestigious event.
