Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) monthly meeting held on 18th April, 2018 at KCCA Office National Stadium. Executive committee members attended the meeting in which important decisions taken.

Sports Journalists Association Sindh’s 4 members are ready to travel to UAE for the Coverage of Pakistan Super League Third Edition. SJAS President Tariq Aslam handed over UAE visa and ticket to members in Karachi Press Club. Through balloting SJAS selected 4 Journalists, Shahid Ali Khan (Daily Awam), Tariq Hussain (Daily Dunya), Imran Siddique (Dawn News) and Arshad Wahab (Daily Amn) for the coverage of PSL 3. SJAS secretary Muhammad Asghar Azeem, Executive committee member Shahid Satti, Irshad Ali and PSWF vice President Nasar Iqbal were also present at the occasion.
Sports Journalists Sindh sending their 4 members to UAE for the coverage of Pakistan Super League’s third Edition. For this purpose Lucky draw conducted in Karachi Press Club, by the hand of Secretary KPC Maqsood Ahmed Yousufi. Six members who are accredited for the event included in draw. SJAS Vice President and Senior Sports Reporter of Daily Awam Shahid Ali Khan, Imran Siddique from Dawn News, Tariq Hussain Daily Dunya and Arshad Wahab Daily Amn were lucky members who will go to UAE. SJAS President Tariq Aslam, Secretary Muhammad Asghar Azeem and other members were also present at Draw.
Sports Journalists Association Sindh organized farewell for their senior member Muhammad Ayub Khan, Executive producer PTV Sports on his retirement. Event held at Karachi Press Club. PTV officials Shujatullah, Ajmal Meer, Mujeeb Ansari and Danish also attended the farewell. Cricketer Ghulam Ali, Sindh Olympic Associations’s secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput, VP Sindh Olympic Association Engr Mehfooz-ul-Haq, Riazuddin, Mehmood Riaz, SJAS President Tariq Aslam and Secretary Muhammad Asghar Azeem paid tribute to M. Ayub Khan. A memorable shield was presented to Ayub sb by SJAS. KW&SB Deputy managing Director Aslam Khan and SJAS members also attended the Farewell.
Sports Journalist Association Sindh arranged Work shop on Mobile Journalism and Social Media importance in collaboration with Arts Council of Pakistan. SJAS member Faizan Lakhani, Asif Khan, Ubaid Awan, Mehmood Riaz and others gave lecture on importance of Mobile Journalism and Social Media. SJAS Members and Karachi Sports Journalist attended the workshop in big numbers. Former KCCA and Arts Council President Prof Ejaz Farooqui distributed certificates among participants.
Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) and Karachi Press Club Jointly organized “Meet The Press” of first Pakistani Professional Boxer Mohammad Waseem. He appealed to the federal government and the private institutions to support him as the Korean Promoter withdraw its support and blocked him on social media. Waseem said, despite the continuous undefeatable performance in eight international fights, promoter told me to bring the invested money on me. He said his financial problems are increasing day-by-day and I am fighting for my beloved Pakistan.
Sports Journalists Association of Sindh SJAS Launched its website www.sjaspakistan.com and distributed AIPS cards to their members. SJAS Patrons Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, Prof Dr. Farhan Essa and President Karachi.Press Club Mr. Ahmed Malik launched website and distributed cards.
SJAS arranged Yearly Dawat-e-Haleem at Karachi Press Club. President KPC Ahmed Malik, SJAS Patrons Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, Prof Dr.Farhan Essa, former test Cricketer Salahuddin Sallu, Ejaz Farooqui, Ghulam Mohammad, President KUJ, KDA Sports division head, Press Club officials, VP Sindh Olympic Association Engr Syed Mahfooz Ulhaq, PIH officials, SJAS members and other dignitaries attended the event.
