SJAS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2019

Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) Annual General meeting for the year 2019 held at KHA Stadium, Karachi. SJAS current body has completed its four-year term and this is the last AGM under their belt. A large number of members attended the meeting which was chaired by SJAS President Tariq Aslam. Secretary Asghar Azeem presented the Annual Performance Report for the year 2018-19 which was appreciated by the participants. Members paid great tribute to President Tariq Aslam, SVP Zubair Nazeer, VP Shahid Ali Khan, Ubaid Awan, Secretary Asghar Azeem, Treasurer Irshad Ali, Joint Secretary Umer Shaheen, members of Executive Committee Shahid Satti, Sajjad Khan, Mohsin Raza Khan, Riazuddin, Syed Javed Iqbal, Mehmood Riaz, Mansoor Ali Baig, Shahzeb Baig and Hasnain Anwar for their services. Treasurer Irshad Ali presented the Audit Report of Accounts for the year 2018-19 which the General Council unanimously approved.

General Council decided that Elections for 2019-23 to be held on Saturday 11 Jan, 2020 at Karachi Press Club. General Council approved the three-member election commission which will be chaired by Atta Muhammad Tabssum, Ibn-e-Hasan and Saif Bangash are other members of commission. On this occasion Secretary Asghar Azeem vowed to extend all possible support to late member of SJAS Zain ul Abedin’s family and his son’s education. At the end of meeting, all the deceased members including Zain ul Abedin, were prayed for their respite and early recovery of the sick members.
