Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) have arranged a night picnic for their members at Al-Hadi Farm House, Gulshan-e-Maymaar, Karachi. Members played cricket, volleyball, Hand football, Dabbu and enjoyed swimming. Picnic organizing committee arranged delicious food and Live BBQ for members.

Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) delegation visited SJAS member Maqsood Ahmed who is facing tough times due to heart problems. Delegation consist of SJAS Secretary Asghar Azeem, Finance Secretary Irshad Ali and Executive committee member Shahid Satti. SJAS secretary given Cheque of Rs. 50,000 to Maqsood Ahmed for his treatment.
SJAS has arranged a get together with former footballers at KMC Stadium Karachi. Former Pak captain Ali Nawaz, FIFA referee Ahmed Jan, Incharge of Leisure Leagues Football Zaib Khan were also present. SJAS president Tariq Aslam, Secretary Asghar Azeem also asked questions about Football World Cup 2018 and promotion of football in Pakistan.A friendly match also played SJAS and Aurangzeb Junior football academy which was end on 1-1 draw.
Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) observed the World Sports Journalists Day in Karachi on 2nd July. (SJAS) held a seminar entitled ‘News, Fake News & Our Responsibilities’. It was attended by a large number of sports journalists of the provincial metropolis. Sindh caretaker sports minister and SJAS Patron Dr Junaid Ali Shah also attended the seminar. Speaking on the occasion sports journalists highlighted the importance of releasing true news based on facts. Dr. Junaid Ali Shah said that sports journalists should bring forth the irregularities in sports. Senior Sports Journalists Abdul Majid Bhatti, Shahid Hashmi, Zubair Nazir, Mansoor Ali Baig, Abdul Rasheed Shakoor, Tariq Aslam, Nasar Iqbal and SJAS Secretary Muhammad Asghar Azeem also spoke on the occasion. National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Media Head Ibn-e-Hassan was also present on the occasion. Dr Junaid Ali Shah with cut the cake with senior journalists and SJAS members.

Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) the provincial unit of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) presented a gold medal to the skipper of Pakistan cricket team Sarfraz Ahmed for his remarkable services here at National Museum Auditorium, Karachi.
SJAS organized a Gold Medal Presentation Ceremony to honor Sarfraz Ahmed and Presentation of 2nd Rashid Ali Siddiqui (Late) former president SJAS Talent Award.
On the occasion, Sarfraz thanked SJAS for presenting him Gold Medal and congratulated all SJAS members for organizing such a great event.
Sarfraz said that Rashid Ali Siddiqui (late) was a great human being, his services for sports in Sindh was respectful.
Sarfraz Ahmed further said that encouragement, especially in our country, guided players to do well in future.
Sarfraz has said, “I am hopeful to perform well in the upcoming tri-nation series against Australia and Zimbabwe”.
He said that there is no dearth of talent in Pakistan in all sports.
Other sports-related players should be encouraged like cricket, he added.
Answer to a query, Sarfraz said that Zimbabwe is a good team in their home ground.
There is no weak team in T20 cricket, he added.
Earlier, Sindh Sports Minister and Patron SJAS, Syed Junaid Ali Shah addressing on the occasion said that “Sarfraz Ahmed is our legend”.
He said that our best wishes with Sarfraz always adding that the encouragement by SJAS conferring Sarfraz with the gold medal is very encouraging and should continue to promote other players too.
“SJAS has also conferred other young athletes by awarding them is a unique step and I hope they continue this trend for the promotion of sports”, he added.
Having being reappointed as caretaker minister, I assure all the sportsmen in this province, to come up with special programs so as to encourage not only the sportsmen but also the sports loving people.
Ex-chief selector, Salahuddin Ahmed Sallu hailed SJAS step to honor Sarfraz Ahmed.
He said that former President SJAS, Rashid Ali Siddiqui (late) was a brave man. He put in best services in the field of sports.
SJAS has given Rashid Ali Siddiqui shield to World No 3 of Under-13 squash player Huzaifa Ibrahim, Weightlifter Rabia Shehzad, Jujitsu champion Muhammad Ammar, national footballer Shakir Lashari and national athlete Moeed Baloch.
SJAS also gave shields to their members Shahid Satti, Shahid Ali Ansari, Arshad Wahab and Javed Iqbal for their hard work in the field of sports.
Later, President SJAS Tariq Aslam and Secretary Muhammad Asghar Azeem thanked all the guests and journalists for making the event successful.

The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Asia has said that it will confer Sindh Sports Minister and Patron Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS), Syed Junaid Ali Shah with “The Best Sports Organizer of Pakistan” in November, 2018.
The announcement was made at a gathering, arranged by SJAS for its Patron, Syed Junaid Ali Shah on becoming a caretaker provincial minister for 2nd time. On this occasion, Secretary SJAS Asghar Azeem gave a letter from AIPS (ASIA) to Dr. Junaid, announcing that the global organization of sports journalists AIPS Asia has declared Dr. Junaid Ali Shah as the best sports organizer of Pakistan and the award will be given on the occasion of International Junior Sports Journalists Workshop, which will be held in Karachi in the first week of November this year, where journalists of more than 20 countries will participate.
On the occasion Dr. Junaid Ali Shah said, “My all efforts are for the sports only and it is my passion, for which my doors are always open for all sports lovers, oraganiser and sports journalists”.
The announcement of the Best organizer award is an honor for Pakistan and me as well, he added.
Junaid Ali Shah thanked SJAS for arranging the gathering for him and hailed their services.
