سجاس نے بیرون ملک مقیم اور اسپورٹس جرنلزم سے الگ ہوجانے والے پانچ ممبران کی رکنیت ختم کردی۔ جنرل کونسل نے سجاس کی سالانہ کارکردگی اور ینگ اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس ٹریننگ پروگرام کے کامیاب انعقاد پر مجلس عاملہ کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ کونسل نے سالانہ بجٹ کی بھی متفقہ منظوری دےدی۔ سالانہ جنرل کونسل اجلاس میں ڈاکٹر جنید علی شاہ اور ڈاکٹر فرحان عیسی کی خصوصی شرکت۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس ایسوسی ایشن سندھ (سجاس) کی سالانہ جنرل کونسل کا انعقاد ہفتہ 8 دسمبر 2018کو کراچی واٹر بورڈ آفیسرز کلب میں ہوا۔ اجلاس میں ممبران کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ سجاس کے پیٹرنز ڈاکٹر جنید علی شاہ اور ڈاکٹر فرحان عیسی بھی اجلاس میں شریک ہوئے۔ سجاس کے سیکریٹری اصغرعظیم نے سالانہ کارکردگی رپورٹ اور سالانہ بجٹ پیش کیا۔ جنرل کونسل نے سالانہ کارکردگی کو بہترین قرار دیتے ہوئے اے آئی پی ایس ایشیا کے تحت کراچی میں ینگ اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس ٹریننگ پروگرام کے کامیاب انعقاد کو سجاس کا ایک بڑا کارنامہ قرار دیا۔ جنرل کونسل نے صدر طارق اسلم اور سیکریٹری اصغرعظیم سمیت مجلس عاملہ بالخصوص سجاس کی سرپرستی اور رہنمائی کرنے پر سجاس کے پیٹرنز ڈاکٹر جنید علی شاہ اور ڈاکٹر فرحان عیسی کو زبردست خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر فرحان عیسی کا کہناتھا کہ سجاس کا کام سب کو نظر آرہا ہے۔ غلطیاں انہیں سے ہوتی ہیں جو کام کرتے ہیں۔ سجاس کا سالانہ بجٹ کا آڈٹ کسی آڈٹ کمپنی سے کروانا احسن اقدام ہے۔ ڈاکٹر جنید علی شاہ کا کہناتھا کہ گزشتہ تین سال سے جنرل کونسل میں شریک ہورہا ہوں سجاس کی سالانہ کارکردگی کا چشم دید گواہ بھی ہوں۔سجاس سے دور رہنے والے صحافی اسپورٹس برادری کے اتحاد کو مزید مضبوط کریں اور اختلافات ختم کرکے ان ہاوس گفتگو کے ذریعہ اس کا حل تلاش کریں۔ سجاس نے کراچی میں انٹر نیشنل ایونٹ کا انعقاد کرکے اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس برادری کی ایک نئی تاریغ رقم کردی ہے۔ کامیاب ایونٹ کی خاص بات تمام سینئر اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس کی شرکت تھی۔ جنرل کونسل نے سالانہ بجٹ 18-2017 کی بھی متفقہ منظوری دےدی۔ جنرل کونسل نے اسپورٹس جرنلزم سے الگ ہوجانے والے اور بیرون ملک منتقل ہونےوالےپانچ صحافیوں کی رکنیت ختم کرنے کے فیصلے کی بھی توثیق کردی۔ کونسل کی منظوری سے سجاس نے فرہاد عزیز۔سہیل عباس۔عبدالماجد۔ فصاحت فاطمہ اور سید علی حسن کی رکنیت ختم کردی۔ اس موقع پر سینئر اسپورٹس جرنلسٹ راشد عزیز سجاس کے ممبر بن گئے۔ جنرل کونسل کے موقع پر سیکریٹری اصغرعظیم نے سالانہ کارکردگی کو بہترین قرار دینے اور سالانہ گوشوارے کی متفقہ منظوری پر تمام شرکاء اور سجاس کے پیٹرنز کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ سیکریٹری نے پی ایس ایل فور کی کورج کےلئے تین ممبران کو دبئی بھیجنے کا مشروط اعلان کیا۔ اجلاس کے اختتام پر ارشادعلی کی خالہ سمیت دیگر ممبران کے انتقال کر جانے والے عزیزواقارب کے لیئے دعا معغفرت کی گئی
The International and Pakistani participants of AIPS Asia Youth Reporters Training Workshop along-with AIPS Asia Secretary Amjad Aziz Malik were taken to mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, National Stadium, DHA Golf Club, Marina club for boating and dinner by SJAS organizing committee on day 1.
On Day 2 Journalists visited Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium, Quaid-e-Azam Residency Museum, Pakistan Sports Board, Karachi Hockey Association ground, Dolmen Mall Clifton and Dinner at Special Salateen Restaurant Bilawal House.
On Day 3 delegates had Dinner at Port Grand
On Day 4 visiting journalists are invited by Karachi Press Club for Lunch, after that they visited National Museum, Ferere Hall and played matches in Asghar Ali Shah Stadium
A three day first ever International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Asia Youth Reporters Training Workshop successfully concluded here at a local hotel.
The event was organised by Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) in collaboration with AIPS Asia, a first such event in the 71 years history of Pakistan.
The workshop was largely attended by young sports journalists from different print and electronic media apart from foreign young sports journalists from Iran, Afghanistan and Nepal are participated.
On this occasion, SJAS also awarded Dr Muhammad Ali Shah Gold Medal in memory of late ex-Sindh Minister Dr Syed Muhammad Ali Shah and Lifetime Achievement awards to senior sports journalists.
Speaking at the occasion Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Information, Archives and Anti-Corruption, Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that sports journalists have put in their untiring efforts to promote the country’s image.
He lauded the efforts of SJAS and Secretary AIPS Asia, Amjad Aziz Malik for organising such a great event in Karachi.
Murtaza Wahab welcomed all the participants from abroad. He assured that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) will provide all kind of support to sports journalists.
The participation of sports journalists from abroad will propagate positive image of Pakistan, he added.
On this occasion, Guest of Honour, Mayor Karachi, Waseem Akhtar congratulated SJAS for successful event in city.
Waseem said that the entire team of SJAS deserves appreciation for organizing historic AIPS Asia Young Sports Reporter Training Workshop.
“Today, SJAS has created a history,” he added.
Mayor Karachi said that in order to bring improvement in sports, we need to create more and more opportunities to our youngsters to polish their talent and perform at the highest level.
He said that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) removed all encroachments from its sports complex and from Saddar and other places in the city. He said that youngsters will be provided with maximum opportunities to participate in sports activities.
He also urged media for comprehensive coverage of sports activities in KMC.
Mayor Karachi assured SJAS that he will always support the organisation promoting sports.
On this occasion, AIPS Asia conferred former Sindh Sports Minister and Patron of SJAS, Dr Syed Junaid Ali Shah with “The Best Sports Organizer of Pakistan” award.
Former Minister for Sports, Dr Junaid Ali Shah thanked AIPS Asia for the award. “My all efforts are for the sports only and it is my passion, for which my doors are always open for all sports lovers, oraganiser and sports journalists”, he said in remarks after receiving the award.
He said that this award is an honour for Pakistan and for him as well. He dedicated his award to his parents.
Senior journalist and international hockey commentator, Riazuddin conducted the whole event.
Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar along with Advisor to CM Sindh, Murtaza Wahab presented first Dr Muhammad Ali Shah Gold Medal to senior sports journalist, Abdul Majid Bhatti for his services in the field of sports journalism.
Waseem Akhtar and Murtaza Wahab also presented Lifetime Achievement Award to senior sports journalists, Waheed Khan, Abdul Rasheed Shakoor, Khurram Mahmood, Ehsan Qureshi, Abdul Majid Bhatti, Mirza Iqbal Baig, Ayub Khan, Syed Muhammad Soofi, Khalid Mahmood, Rishad Mahmood, Khalid H. Khan, Shahid Ali Khan, Imtiaz Ali Naranja, Tariq Aslam, Ishaq Baloch, Wazir Ali Qadri, Shahid Hashmi, Anwar Zubairi and Rafiq Ansari.
AIPS Secretary, Amjad Aziz Malik presented shields to Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar and Barrister Murtaza Wahab.
On this occasion four members of SJAS namely, Shahid Ansari, Arshad Wahab, Shahzaib Khurram and Sajjad Khan get ticket and other articles for performing Umrah.
Later, Chief Guests, Mayor Karachi, Advisor to CM Sindh presented certificates to all the participants.
President SJAS Tariq Aslam and Secretary Asghar Azeem thanked all the participants for attending and making the event successful.
A three day first ever International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Asia Youth Reporters Training Workshop commenced here at a local hotel yesterday.
The event were organised by Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) in collaboration with AIPS Asia in the 71 years of Pakistan, where 7 young sports journalists from Afghanistan, Iran and Nepal are participating, while journalists from Malaysia and Saudi Arabia are likely to join tomorrow( Tuesday). Young sports journalists from Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and FATA are also attending the event.
Former Minister for Sports and Patron SJAS , Dr Syed Junaid Ali Shah while welcoming the all the participants and said that the sports is a main part of our society and the sports journalists can play a positive role to establish that Pakistan is a safe country for sports lover as well as sportsmen.
He also praised SJAS for arranging the workshop and hailed their services.
Amjad Aziz Malik, Secretary General AIPS ASIA and President of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) warmly welcomed all the participants.
This is a historic day of Pakistan. These kinds of workshops would help young journalists to polish their skills.
He said that such training program organizing on daily basis in European countries.
He further said that I am really thankful to the entire SJAS team for organizing a great event here.
He told that the participants that he could have arranged that workshop in Peshawar his home town but I enjoy working with SJAS. SJAS played a vital role in the field of sports. I think no other association can beat SJAS.
“The youngsters gathered here for nourishment of their journalistic skills,” Amjad added.
Chief Guest, Senior Sindh Minister, Nasir Hussain Shah said on the occasion that
there was a great event in the history of Pakistan.
I congratulate SJAS and Amjad Aziz Malik for their efforts.
Minister said that we will provide every facility to foreign journalist and tell foreigner must to visit interior Sindh.
Nasir Hussain Shah assured the media persons present on the occasion that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will provide all kind of support to journalists community.
“We are always available for journalists financially and trying to solve their problems,” added Nasir Hussain Shah. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister hailed SJAS services and appreciated the entire association for organizing this event.
Sindh Minister, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah lauded the services of Amjad Aziz Malik in the field of sports and organizing various events outlined that they made their country proud globally.
Senior journalists, Iqbal Jamil, Mehmood Sham, Anisuddin Khan, Zubair Nazeer Khan, Kamal Siddique, Atiq-ur-Rehman and Patron SJAS Dr Farhan Essa addressing on the occasion said that the new generation from this field may benefit from such seminars and trainings.

The visiting journalists were taken to mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, DHA Golf Club Marina club for boating and have a dinner on it and National Stadium by SJAS organizing committee.
Sports Journalists Association Sindh (SJAS) holds annual Haleem Party and ceremony for SJAS Senior Members Nasar Iqbal and Alam Zeb who recently performed Hajj. Adviser to Chief Minister of Sindh on Law, Anti-Corruption Establishment, and information Barrister Murtuza Wahab was chief Guest. Murtaza Wahab said that behind the peace and stability, law & order in Pakistan especially in Sindh, sports journalists have put their untiring efforts to promote the country’s image. Promises which are made in past by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to strengthen (SJAS), in Sindh Province will fulfilled soon. SJAS Patrons Dr Syed Junaid Ali Shah and Dr Farhan Essa was also present at the occasion. Syed Junaid Ali Shah said Only PPP could resolve the problems of journalists. President KPC, Ahmed Malik said that KPC will always stand with SJAS. Later, Secretary SJAS, Asghar Azeem and President SJAS, Tariq Aslam thanked all the participants.
